We are Jane & Roger Mugford and have owned Hideaway since 2001. We originally came to Wales to manage one of our competitors kennels & cattery, when the opportunity to purchase our own premises arose we jumped at the chance to run the business in our own special way.
We have a lifelong experience of owning & breeding both dogs & cats. Between us we have had several breeds & crossbreeds but currently we have just the Siamese cats & our show winning Irish Setters.
At Hideaway we try to give the individual attention to our guests that the larger establishments can’t achieve. We have only the occasional well trusted staff, preferring to do most of the work ourselves so as to maintain that personal touch.
Our small indoor cattery consists of 10 bright & spacious pens. The whole building is heated in the colder months & the radio is tuned to Classic FM for the relaxing effect.
Our kennels are in small blocks, most with attached outdoor runs.
