The practice has been established since 1985. The practice moved into its purpose built premises in late 2007. Over the years the practice has developed a national reputation for academic primary care both in teaching and research.
A broad description of the practice area is to the west, the boundary is the river Exe turning north to form the east boundary along Bridge Road (A379) continuing northwards along Rydon Lane (A3015) crossing the Honiton Road to Hill Barton road (B3181) and crossing the Pinhoe Road. The north boundary encompasses Stoke Hill joining the west boundary at the junction of Cowley Bridge Road and Stoke Road. In brief the area includes Wonford, Hevitree, St Leonard’s, Whipton, Stokehill and Pennsylvania.
