An award-winning, design-led RIBA Chartered Practice with a reputation for simple forms which are well crafted and have a strong sense of place. All projects are site-specific responses and are not designed to conform to a house style. The practice policy is one of respect towards the natural and built environment, a belief that new buildings should contribute to their surroundings, be sustainable, contemporary and complementary.
In our designs for a contemporary vernacular, we are searching for a poetic response to the culture and landscape of Wales – buildings which aim for a timeless quality which are rooted in their locale.
We have designed a wide range of buildings across the whole spectrum of the built environment working with clients from the private, public and commercial sectors. We have designed projects for conservation areas, areas of outstanding natural beauty and national parks. Working on listed buildings is a speciality and we hold the RIBA Conservation Architectʼs accreditation.
The practice was founded in June 1994 and, by now, has gained considerable experience working on a wide range of projects throughout Wales and beyond. We have won several design awards for projects as diverse as new build private housing, conversion and extension of former farm buildings and for a design of a House of the Future in a competition run jointly by the BBC and the National Museum of Wales.
Recent projects include new build houses, conversions of listed buildings, community facilities and domestic extensions and remodelling.
