From 2021 I will be teaching in a brand new Toyota Yaris Hybrid (automatic)
The benefits of learning in an automatic are:
* No need to worry about a clutch or changing gears
* You can’t stall
* Hill starts are easier
* Less in-car distractions
* More suited to today’s complex traffic conditions
* You might pass your test sooner than if you were learning in a manual
* If you do pass your test quickly, you’ll save money on driving lessons
The disadvantages are:
* You will only be qualified to drive an automatic car
* If you wish to drive manual you will need to take another test
* Automatic driving lessons may be more expensive
Whether you’re a total beginner or part trained, in a hurry or just taking your time it’s no problem – all are very welcome.
